Welcome to Brentwood
GET TO KNOW BRENTWOOD
Brentwood is the place to be for a community feel. Loyal residents and families flock to the neighborhood’s small, local businesses and even a few high-end restaurants and lounges.
Brentwood is an affluent neighborhood, known for its luxury homes and upscale amenities, located on the Westside of Los Angeles, California, situated between Westwood and Santa Monica. Its convenient location near the 405 and 10 freeways also allows residents to easily access the beach in under 15 minutes and provides a quick route into Downtown Los Angeles.
It was originally a Mexican land grant ranch sold by the Sepulveda family and began to be developed in the 1880s.
Today, Brentwood is known for its low population density, beautiful, tree-lined streets and accessibility to some of the region's most popular beaches, including Santa Monica Beach and Venice Beach. The area is also home to many high-end retail shops and restaurants, making it a popular destination for those seeking a luxurious and sophisticated lifestyle. The Brentwood lifestyle and village feel provides a sense of privacy and seclusion from the bustling city. If I had to compare it to the east coast, I’d say it’s the East Hampton of Los Angeles.

THINGS TO DO
This posh neighborhood in LA is home to a bunch of celebrities, a fancy museum, and has all sorts of other interesting things to do. Here are a few local highlights to check out as you get to know the neighborhood:
Brentwood Country Mart: Founded in 1948, this charming shopping center has kept its original barn-inspired design. It features over 20 shops, including upscale designers like Doen, Intermix, Cos Bar, Jenni Kayne, Pippa Small Jewelry and James Perse. There are also a variety of dining options to choose from, including Frida Taqueria, a casual spot that's a personal favorite. A local fan favorite in the Country Mart is the New American restaurant, Farmshop.
The Getty Center: This world-class campus is home to the Richard Meier-designed Getty Museum, as well as the Getty Research Institute, the Getty Conservation Institute, the Getty Foundation, and the J. Paul Getty Trust. It's definitely worth a visit!
Jon & Vinny's Brentwood: If you're in the mood for Italian food, this popular restaurant is a great choice. It’s also the closest thing to New York Italian you’ll find in LA!
Katsuya Brentwood: For sushi lovers, Katsuya is a must-try. Of course, the original location in the Valley is still my favorite.
A.O.C., a pioneering wine bar opened by James Beard Award-winning chef Suzanne Goin and celebrated restaurateur Caroline Styne. Pair a glass of excellent wine with market-driven small plates such as the farmer’s plate (roasted veggies, muhammara and chickpea puree, burrata, and grilled toast) or the charcuterie board of pork rillettes and assorted salumi. Save room for the apple fritters.
THE BRENTWOOD REAL ESTATE MARKET
One of the safest neighborhoods in Los Angeles.
The median price range of a home in Brentwood is $2.72M.
